In brief
Factory-direct, not freight-forwarded.
Most people searching for a outdoor work pod want the same thing: a separate, quiet place to work at home. Before you commit to foundations, weatherproofing and a construction timeline, it is worth pricing the indoor alternative. An Ikabin pod is a finished, soundproofed room that stands inside your garage, living room or any covered space — installed in a day, no permits, no groundwork, and it moves with you when you sell the house.
To be direct about what we build: Ikabin pods are engineered for indoor and covered installation — they are not weatherised buildings for open-air, year-round exposure. What they deliver instead is what most backyard-office buyers are actually after: −35 dB speech privacy, built-in ventilation, lighting and power, a 3-week build in our Dubai factory and a 5-year warranty, at a fraction of a construction project's cost and timeline.
Backyard & garden offices
Pod vs. backyard build — the honest comparison.
A fraction of the cost
From AED 15,000 (≈ $4,084) factory-direct — typically well under half the all-in cost of a compliant backyard build.
Indoor by design
Pods are engineered for indoor and covered spaces — garage, loft, warehouse, veranda. For open-air placement, ask us first.
No permits, no foundations
Freestanding and indoors, a pod needs no planning application, no groundwork and no trenched electrics.
A day, not a season
A garden office is a construction project; a pod is a delivery. Positioned and powered the same day it arrives.
The range
Three pods, one acoustic standard.

FAQ
Outdoor work pod in Ireland — questions, answered.
A level floor, 2300–2400 mm of clear height depending on model, and a standard power connection. The pod's panels pass through normal doorways and are assembled in place by two people.
No — Ikabin builds soundproof office and studio pods, not dwellings. Our pods are superb as home offices, studios and quiet rooms inside or alongside a home, but they are not certified residential buildings.
Ikabin pods are engineered for indoor and covered installation — inside a garage, loft, warehouse or under a solid roof — not for open-air, year-round weather exposure. Most buyers searching for a backyard office find an indoor pod solves the same problem (a quiet, separate room) faster and cheaper. For covered outdoor placements, contact our team to review your site first.
Production takes 3 weeks from order confirmation in our Dubai factory. Shipping Jebel Ali, Dubai → Dublin Port runs ≈5–7 weeks door-to-door. We confirm an exact estimate for your address with your quote.
We quote in clear terms — typically DAP or similar — so the cost split is explicit before you order. Import duties and taxes are normally the buyer's responsibility; your customs broker can confirm the treatment for UAE-origin goods, and we supply every document they need.
