Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ikabin (“Ikabin”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you visit ikabin.ae or buy from us. We are committed to handling your data lawfully, fairly, and transparently in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL).
1. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to sell to you and run our website:
- Order & quote details — your name, email address, mobile number, emirate, delivery address, and the products and quantities you request when you complete a checkout or submit a quote request.
- Business details — for trade enquiries, your company name and company email.
- Communications — messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone, email, or our contact form.
- Usage & device data — anonymous analytics such as the pages you view, the buttons you tap (e.g. WhatsApp or call), your approximate journey through the site, browser type, and a randomly generated anonymous identifier stored on your device. This data is not used to personally identify you.
We do not collect or store your full card number. All card payments are processed securely by our payment provider (see Section 4).
2. How we use your information
- To process, build, deliver, and install your order, and to schedule delivery.
- To prepare and send you a tailored quote and follow up on your enquiry.
- To provide customer support, warranty service, and after-sales care.
- To send order-related messages (for example, to confirm your delivery window by WhatsApp).
- To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
3. Cookies & similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and browser-storage items to make the site work and to measure traffic:
- Essential — required for core functions such as keeping your checkout and admin session working.
- Analytics — an anonymous identifier (stored in your browser's local storage and a long-lived cookie) that lets us count unique visitors and understand which pages and products are popular, without identifying you personally.
When you first visit, we show a cookie notice. You can accept or decline analytics, and you can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Declining analytics does not affect your ability to browse or buy.
4. Third parties who process data for us
We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:
- MamoPay — our payment gateway, which securely processes card payments. Your card data is handled directly by MamoPay under PCI-DSS standards; we never see or store it.
- Supabase — our database host, where order and enquiry records are stored securely.
- Vercel — our website hosting provider.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — when you choose to contact us or confirm details over WhatsApp.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. If we run advertising on platforms such as Google or Meta, those platforms may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies; any such tools are covered by your cookie choice above.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep order and warranty records for as long as needed to service your purchase, honour the 5-year product warranty, and comply with UAE tax and accounting law. Enquiry and quote data is kept only as long as needed to follow up. Anonymous analytics is retained for a limited period to measure trends.
6. How we protect your data
Our site is served over encrypted HTTPS. Order and enquiry records are stored in a database protected by row-level security and accessed only by authorised staff. Payment details are handled by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider.
7. Your rights
Under the UAE PDPL you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it (where we are not legally required to keep it), to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at sales@ikabin.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Children
Our website and products are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
